​We are sharing important advice from Humberside Police following a rise in concerns about missing parcels and thefts this Christmas.

​If your parcel goes missing, please follow these steps before contacting the Police:
-​Contact the Courier/Delivery Company, with tracking number and file a complaint.
-​Contact the Seller/Retailer: The retailer is usually responsible for ensuring your goods arrive safely (for a replacement or refund).
-​Escalate: If the response is inadequate, contact Citizens Advice or the Consumer Ombudsman.
​KEEP RECORDS! Save all tracking, receipts, and emails.

​⚠️ When to Report to Police
​Only report directly to Humberside Police if you believe the parcel has been STOLEN (theft) or if the situation involves FRAUD. Call 101

​The East Riding Liberal Democrats are closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the newly rebranded Clean Air Solar Farm. While we are committed to a greener future and achieving net-zero, we believe that large-scale infrastructure projects must work with our local communities, not be imposed upon them from Whitehall. ​The proposal, a 500MW evolution of the previous "Kingfisher" project, is now being spearheaded by PS Renewables and Ørsted Onshore. Spanning two massive sites near Beverley, Lockington, and Walkington, the scale of this project is undeniable,it aims to power 160,000 homes. Civic Leaders Praise Goole as Town Hosts Historic Yorkshire Day Celebrations ​Goole had the great honour of hosting Yorkshire Day, marking the same year as the town celebrated its 200th birthday. ​Town Mayor of Goole, Cllr Kevin Flynn, hosted civic dignitaries from across the region as Goole stood at the heart of Yorkshire for the Official Yorkshire Day Civic Celebration, organised by Goole Town Council on behalf of The Yorkshire Society. As part of the town's bicentenary celebrations, Goole welcomed civic leaders and guests from across the county to celebrate Yorkshire's rich heritage, history, and traditions. ​The Yorkshire Day Parade passed through the town centre, followed by a Civic Service at St John's Church that was open to everyone.
