​When you're out enjoying Christmas parties and need a ride home, it’s super important to use a REAL, OFFICIAL taxi!

​We sometimes see fake cars trying to pretend they are proper, safe taxis. Don't be fooled! Help yourself and your friends stay safe.

​How to Spot a Proper Taxi:
-​Look for the Official Plate: Real licensed taxis have a white plate or sticker on the back of the car showing the council's logo.
-​Check the Driver ID: The driver must have an official ID badge with their photo clearly displayed.
-​Remember to Book: If you are using a taxi company (a "private hire" car), you must pre-book your ride by phone or app. Don't just get into one that stops on the street!

​The East Riding Liberal Democrats are closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the newly rebranded Clean Air Solar Farm. While we are committed to a greener future and achieving net-zero, we believe that large-scale infrastructure projects must work with our local communities, not be imposed upon them from Whitehall. ​The proposal, a 500MW evolution of the previous "Kingfisher" project, is now being spearheaded by PS Renewables and Ørsted Onshore. Civic Leaders Praise Goole as Town Hosts Historic Yorkshire Day Celebrations ​Goole had the great honour of hosting Yorkshire Day, marking the same year as the town celebrated its 200th birthday. ​Town Mayor of Goole, Cllr Kevin Flynn, hosted civic dignitaries from across the region as Goole stood at the heart of Yorkshire for the Official Yorkshire Day Civic Celebration, organised by Goole Town Council on behalf of The Yorkshire Society. As part of the town's bicentenary celebrations, Goole welcomed civic leaders and guests from across the county to celebrate Yorkshire's rich heritage, history, and traditions. ​The Yorkshire Day Parade passed through the town centre, followed by a Civic Service at St John's Church that was open to everyone.
