Local Councillors Welcome New Face-to-Face Community Hub Pilot in Bridlington

​​Bridlington residents will soon have direct, face-to-face access to a wide range of essential local services under a new Community Hub pilot launching on Monday, August 3.
Services on offer include housing advice, community safety, health and wellbeing, employment and skills, money advice, addiction support and community activities

​The initiative has drawn strong backing from local representatives, who view the hub as a major step forward for accessible public support.

​Designed as a drop-in, one-stop shop where no appointments are necessary, the hub will offer guidance and signposting across a broad spectrum of local services, including:

​Housing & Financial Guidance: Housing advice, money guidance, and employment and skills training.
​Health & Safety: Community safety initiatives, health and wellbeing resources, and addiction support.
​Community Connection: Local activities and signposting to surrounding network groups.

​Dates and Location
​Operating out of the Bridlington Town Council Office on Marshall Avenue, the pilot will run every Monday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, starting Monday, August 3 and concluding on Monday, September 14 (excluding the Bank Holiday on August 31).

​The pilot has been developed as part of the ongoing Clear, Hold, Build (CHB) programme in Bridlington, a partnership strategy aimed at tackling crime and anti-social behaviour while delivering long-term, positive improvements for local residents. Both East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Bridlington Town Council encourage members of the public to attend and see what support is available.

Civic Leaders Praise Goole as Town Hosts Historic Yorkshire Day Celebrations ​Goole had the great honour of hosting Yorkshire Day, marking the same year as the town celebrated its 200th birthday. ​Town Mayor of Goole, Cllr Kevin Flynn, hosted civic dignitaries from across the region as Goole stood at the heart of Yorkshire for the Official Yorkshire Day Civic Celebration, organised by Goole Town Council on behalf of The Yorkshire Society.
